Oversized Shirt-dresses and Leggings. A fashion girl’s romance.
Walking around backstage of LAFW, models upon models adorned in high buns and smokey red eyes stood in line as one model checked over each of their looks. A fellow photographer tapped me on the shoulder and stated, “That’s Kristina. She’s the designer. Get a photo of her.”
LaKris, my favorite new womenswear line, was created by former Russian born fashion model, Kristina Sutton. Sutton’s debut capsule collection is focused on 1 garment, a sueded silk shirt/dress named “Evolution.” Styled, buttoned, or wrapped, the garment can take any look from 9 to 5 office chic to red carpet movie premiere glam and dinner at a Michelin acclaimed restaurant ready. It’s a genius idea for the fashionista with a capsule wardrobe or a fashion lover who gets tired of clothing quickly. I want one in every color.
